Ironic that I'm hopped up on prednisone & some antibiotics that I think are called Godzilla. I've got pneumonia gagantuosa, & lo & behold your story speaks to me. I love the sweet, gentleness of this story, how so many people show their concern & caring. The worst thing after a rape is the loneliness & I'm glad that wasn't part of the mix. I used to love reading fairy tales, but growing up and dealing with the real world kind of squashed those early fantasies. Now I'm reading another one, where a mere husband has the power and intellect to actually interpret and decipher his spouse's mental ramblings and emotional bungee jumping. This is not real life in any way, shape or form. Pure fairy tale, but really good reading. I wondered- how is Brian so smart? then I realized he and his wife are just constructs in the writers' mind, who sees both sides of the issues before they come up and has sufficient time to formulate the questions and answers. Again, pure fairy tale, but could this story be helpful to understanding women? Naw- that would require some rationality and predictability on their part. Conclusion: 3 truisms come to light again-
A) women, you can't live with 'em and you can't shoot 'em.
B) if women didn't have vaginas, who would want to live with them?
C) a woman who has permanent laryngitis- SHE would be the perfect woman.

These things should all be getting fives; for balls if nothing else. (Elephants have big balls)
