About that HIV blood injection; it would have to be from an O-negative (universal donor) person, otherwise you would have risked anaphylactic shock, in seconds if not minutes, since the injection was intravenous. You should have made just a simple intramuscular injection, or just said “he was injected with some HIV+ blood”, and skipped the technical bit.
